Tourist poses for camera at tuna auction at the Tokyo Tsukiji Fish Market
Tourist poses for camera at the tuna auction at the Tokyo Metropolitan Central Wholesale Market or Tsukiji Fish Market is the largest fish market in the world. On December 15 2008, market authorities closed the auction to visitors for a month, citing safety and health reasons. Authorities said that tourists were getting in the way of workers and touching the fish. Guards are to be placed at entrances to keep visitors away.
