_MG_7550-_geoff_king_kingsrun_20091124.jpg
Visitors having wine and cheese around the table with farmer and conservationist Geoff King Kingsrun, near Arthur River, in north west Tasmania. Geoff has let some of his seafront land turn wild in order to promote wildlife. Several times a month he takes a group of people to an old fishing shack on the shore, where he serves them with wine, cheese, yarns - and a devil's restaurant. Geoff places a dead wallaby outside the hut, and using baby monitors to alert the watchers and spotlights to illuminate the nocturnal tasmanian devils, the visitors can see real, wild, Tasmanian devils. The contagious cancer, DFTD has penetrated many parts of Tasmania, but this corner has as of yet been kept clear of it.
